There are 18 official conference hotels. Several hotels are within walking distance, and those that are not will have complimentary shuttle service. Single room rates average approximately $275 plus taxes and fees, and housing will be open for booking on approximately September 15, 2013.

How can I review all the session descriptions?
The full session descriptions and speaker information will be listed by day and posted during the initial launch of the site. Updates will be made as information becomes available.
How do I reserve my space in the education sessions?
There are no reserved seats for the education sessions. You can build your personal agenda by using the Schedule Builder on astdconference.org once session information is available.
How do I get the session materials?
Session materials will be available approximately two weeks before the conference and can be accessed through the conference website. Session materials also may be accessed through the conference app, which will be available for download a few weeks before the conference.
Who are the keynote speakers?
General Stan McChrystal, former Commander of U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan, will be the morning keynote on Tuesday, May 6. General McChrystal will focus on cross leading and sharing lessons about leadership from his experience as a warrior, statesman, and scholar.
Monday's and Wednesday's keynote speakers will be announced as they are selected.
What happened to the Celebration event?
The special event Tuesday evening, May 6, is now called Networking Night. The tickets are $75 and are usually in high demand. We encourage conference attendees to purchase tickets well in advance as we cannot guarantee ticket availability on site at the conference. Networking Night is for conference attendees and adult guests. Stay tuned for additional details.
Can I bring my children with me to Networking Night?
Tickets may be purchased only for individuals 18 years and older.
I registered for Networking Night -- how do I get my ticket?
All registrants for Networking Night will receive a voucher that will need to be exchanged for an event ticket once you are on site. To exchange your ticket, please visit the Networking Night kiosk near registration.
Can I get a refund for the Networking Night tickets if I'm not able to attend?
Networking Night tickets are nonrefundable.
Will transportation be provided to Networking Night?
Yes, shuttle service will be provided from all official conference hotels to Networking Night. A schedule will be posted in the hotel lobby.
How can I get a receipt for my conference registration?
If you are a current member or registered customer, please visit www.astd.org and sign in to view your receipts from your My Profile page. From this page, select My Orders from the My Account menu tab so you can search for and view records of previous orders made through the ASTD store and print a receipt.

When is the last day to register for the conference?
Badge credentials will be mailed to attendees who have registered before March 14, 2014. Online and preregistration ends at 6 p.m. ET on April 24, 2014. After this time, attendees will need to register on site.
What is the cancellation policy?
There will be no refunds or credits issued after March 14, 2014.
All cancellations prior to March 14, 2014, are required in writing to email@example.com and a $100 cancellation fee will apply. In lieu of a refund, you may elect to keep the credit from the cancellation on your account to use for another program or ASTD product; however, all credits must be used within one (1) year of the date of issuance.
How do I cancel a conference registration?

How do I transfer a conference registration to another person?
Participant substitutions may be made prior to the conference by the person or representative of the organization that paid for the registration by submitting the written request to ASTD at email@example.com. On-site substitutions must be accompanied with proof of the original registration payment. If an ASTD member transfers his or her registration to a nonmember, the nonmember must pay the difference between the ASTD member and nonmember rate at the time of the transfer.
I registered after the date to have my credentials mailed (March 14, 2014) -- how do I get my badge?
If you registered after March 14th, you can print your badge on site by going to the Express Badge Pick-up. EXPO-only registrants, exhibitors, and speakers also may print their badges at the Express Badge Pick-up.
What meals and breaks are included?
The following meals will be provided in the EXPO for conference registrants:

Are any preconference workshops or certificate programs included with my conference registration?
Full conference registration includes entrance to keynotes, education sessions, and the EXPO. It does not include registration for any preconference programs. You may register for the preconference programs at store.astd.org.
I'm registered for a preconference certificate program but am arriving after registration closes for the day. How do I get my registration materials?
Registration opens at 7 a.m. so you will have time to register before the 8:30 a.m. start of the certificate program.
When will a chapter team code be listed in the conference drop-down menu for registration for our chapter members?
Your chapter will be listed on the drop-down menu within one business day after the chapter team is established.
I already registered for the conference but would like to join my chapter's team. Is it possible to get a refund for the difference in registration rates?

I'm a student -- how do I qualify for the student rate?
The ASTD student conference rate is for students: 1) who are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per year (or the equivalent of at least half-time) at an accredited university or college OR 2) who are active ASTD chapter student members.
How do I find the overall conference schedule?
The Schedule-at-a-Glance is a useful planning tool and will be available on the website approximately September 1.
What is the dress code for the conference?
The dress code is business casual. We suggest that you bring a jacket or sweater since some of the meeting rooms may be cold.
How do I download the conference app?
The conference app will be available for download on the Apple App Store, the Android market, and the conference website a few weeks before the conference. Check astdconference.org for updates.
How many attendees will be participating in the conference?
ASTD will welcome more than 8,000 people who focus their daily attention on the design and delivery, management, and strategy of learning and development to ASTD 2014.
I'm registered for a preconference certificate program. When will I receive my certificate?
Participants who preregister for preconference certificate programs prior to two weeks before the program will receive their certificates of completion at the end of the course. Participation in all originally scheduled days of the program is mandatory in order to receive the certificate of completion. Participants who miss more than two hours of the entire program will not be eligible to receive the certificate.
Which sessions are recorded?
Approximately 120 concurrent education sessions across all tracks will be recorded. Recordings will be noted in the program guide with a microphone icon, and a list will be posted online before the conference. Available recordings are subject to change without notice.
How do I access the recordings of the conference sessions?
Full conference registrants will be emailed the link to access the recordings as part of their conference registration. The link will be emailed approximately 30-45 days after the conference.
